After familiarisation with a caving activity, a participant may be interested in demonstrating certain skills required for recognition of Caver qualifications.
This sheet gives a list of terms that a caver would be familiar with, as well as a brief description of gear required, foul air, and logs of caves.
The Competency Cards below describe the components of caving knowledge and skills. (According to O&I Handbook, Schedule A Activities, Basic Caver is also required to hold Rockcraft and Abseiler qualification).
